The Audi A1 project car is being made as a joint effort by the Bavarian tuner HS Motorsport along with Autohaus Kempen and few other specialists who specialize in aftermarket affairs. The project involves modification that would include upgraded suspension and some interior appointments as well.
The paint job which was customized and was carried out by CFC Styling Station has ended up to be an “effect-rich silver finish”. This was combined with the black stripe that runs from the front grille to the end of the roof. To incorporate the Golf R32-style two-pipe exhaust system, which has been specially conceived by Fox Sport Exhaust Systems for this project the rear bumper has been modified.
A new lowered coilover suspension system has been developed by the engineers at H&R which helps in improving handling characteristics of the car. The new suspension system is -55 mm at the front and -60 mm at the back.
For wheels which are made up of alloy as is the case for all tuned cars, there is an option of either going for the ASA GT1 in a black matte finish with silver accents or else one could take the ASA GT2 in anthracite, which is a bit “edgier”. Both the wheels measure 18 inches. The tires 215/35 R18 both have been provided by Hankook. The tuners have also given the option of going for the Brembo which is a powerful braking system.
The engine fitted on the project car is a 122 hp or 91 Km 1.4 liter TSI. This has not been modified in any manner though there is the option is available to install a power kit that can enhance the power output by 147 hp or 110 Kw and 250 Nm or 184 lb-ft of torque.
There is also the sound system as an option from Alpine make and the two-tone Recaro Sportster CS seats.
