by Alex

Audi’s smallest model car the new A1 supermini has caught the attention of the world’s largest tuning company the VW Group. The tuning package that they have compiled comprises of three flavors which are “KLECKS” (translates to ‘splash’), “ALOHA” and “HIGH-VOLTAGE”.

The kit consists of roof spoiler, a front lip spoiler and side skirts as well as fender inserts, a rear apron housing diffuser along with special mirror covers. The body has been further complemented by new set of alloy wheels of size 17 or 18 inch with the option of having them wrapped in high performance tires. The finish for each of the kits would be unique decal with a specific finish meant for the aero parts and the alloy wheel rings.

The tuning kit also includes changes to the engine for the entire range of A1 units. Post tuning, the 1.2 liter TFSI petrol engine would witness a jump in power output from 86 hp to 115 hp. Power output for the 1.4 liter TFSI engine, in turn has gone up to 150 hp from 122 hp. In the diesel versions, the 1.6 liter TDI witnesses a jump in power output from 90 hp to 110 hp while the same for the 1.6 liter TDI has gone up to 125 hp from 105 hp.

The exhaust system and the suspension also have been modified and the floor mats supplied are the ABT branded type.
