The uncertainty continues to revolve around the 2011 Audi A1 with respect to whether the sport car is coming to US market or not. While it remains uncertain and that remains the story so far of the 2011 Audi A1, auto experts believe that by the time the car reaches the US market its going to be nothing earlier than the year 2015 or it could even get further delayed. Americans look at the positive aspect, when it comes to European hatches.
The consoling aspect of this so-called difficult situation here in this case is that the US is being at least carefully weighed for the car. Even though Americans, by the year-end, have the new Fiesta and Mazda2, and the Fiat 500 due, the Audi’s A1 case is a special one and it becomes even more important because it is a very special hatch in its class.
A Bloomberg interview with Audi’s sales head, Peter Schwarzenbauer, has disclosed Audi’s plan of seriously considering the US market. Schwarzenbauer in the interview said that in very near future the Audi A1 shall grow in its core business vigorously beyond Europe in Chinese auto market. He further added that until “small and expensive” cars have a fair chance, the U.S. would however have to wait. Automobile experts who are constantly monitoring the developments believe that this statement translates into the only possibility of Audi’s second generation being introduced to US market.
