There are high expectations from Audi’s new design boss Marc Lichte. The Los Angeles motor show in the month of November will start a new concept. This will serve as a preview to the new design direction that has been developed by Marc Lichte and which will be seen in the future vehicles coming out of Audi’s production line. This concept is expected to act as a preview for the new A9 which might come out by 2017.
The preview will most likely be a four door coupe with not only exterior line changes but changes to interior design as well. Sources close to the German auto major revealed that the new design offers the car a highly technical look and will feature a single frame grille on the front with laser head lights and a light weight aluminum body. While details about the coupe are not official, it is believed that the automobile is built on the MLB platform and is over 5 meters in length.
The interior will feature the company’s new instrument cluster – as seen on the third generation TT. This digital instrument cluster along with the additional luxury features like multiple connectivity options will highlight the interior changes to the A8 and A9 models.
