German Mercedes super tuner BRABUS first bumped us with the BRABUS VANISH that they had so skillfully crafted out of the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series and which resulted in the power figure of the sports car to jump up from 661 horsepower to a mammoth 789 horsepower. But it seems nothing is quite enough for the super tuner and they are back to do what they know best, fine tune their way to even more horses. As a result, there is now another model based on the SL65 AMG Black Series which they have named the BRABUS Stealth. And as you might expect, power figures has gone for an upward journey so that the new BRABUS Stealth is cranking out 809 horsepower now, a full 20 horsepower more than the BRABUS VANISH while torque figures are an equally impressive 1420 Nm. The 0 to 100 comes up in just 3.6 seconds while top speed figure is more than 206 mph.
And here is what the BRABUS T65 RS performance kit comprises of that makes it all possible – twin enhanced turbochargers, a whole new intercooler with 4 water/air heat-exchangers, an additional radiator, three high performance electric coolant pumps, and a dynamic metal catalytic converter that lowers the pressure. Topping all this is a new BRABUS unique software program for the engine ECU. And the result of it all is there to be seen – a one-off SL65 AMG Black Series that right now is the holder of the unique distinction of being the most powerful BRABUS-tuned SL65 AMG Black Series in existence.
Here’s the power figures once more to simplify things for you:
SL65 AMG Black Series: 670 PS (493 kW / 661 bhp)
Brabus Vanish: 800 PS (588 kW / 789 bhp)
Brabus Stealth: 820 PS (603 kW / 809 bhp)
