Cadilac readying an all new rear-wheel drive flagship sedan

by Alex Patrick

A new sedan is in the making and would be the possible flagship of General Motors Co for their Cadillac brand of cars.  This is going to be a rear wheel drive and work is in progress as per report in Car and Driver.

The project has been given the go ahead signal by their CEO  Ed Whitacre. He is also the new global planner for GM. The Sigma platform used for the CTS would be used for this new project also.  The cost of the vehicle is going to be $80,000 and this has come under severe criticism specially so as this is the proposed flagship for the company. The competitive state of the market and availability of other makes with equal if not better performance may prove to be the reason for this car not reaching its zenith in sales.
