A vehicle drifted into the Sheldrake River off Pinebrook Boulevard Sunday.
Emergency workers pulled the driver, an older lady, out of the vehicle after the 2:30 p.m. accident near Pinebrook Park. The woman was stated to be all right however was taken to White Plains Hospital.
There was no immediate analysis from authorities on why the motorist drifted off the roadway into the shallow creek.
Mike Babchik was having fun with his children in Pinebrook Park right before the female drove her vehicle into the Sheldrake River, which runs about ankle deep at that point.
“She sped up coming down the hill on Van Etten Boulevard,” Babchik stated. “She might have wanted to hit the brake but instead hit the gas.”
