A carjacking suspect crashed a stolen vehicle and was then hospitalized, according to the Tucson Police Department in Arizona. The suspected carjacker was injured.
The TPD stated the incident took place in the area of 3700 N. Park Ave. right before 3:30 p.m. on December 25, when the victim’s Nissan Titan truck was carjacked by a 20-year-old man.
The suspect assaulted the 63-year-old driver and forced him from his automobile, according to the police department. Moments later the truck was reported to have crashed into a power pole at Congress St. and Granada Ave.

Officials stated the suspect was under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he struck the car. Both are in the hospital non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is set to be charged and booked into the Pima County Jail after getting released from the hospital.
