A number of reports around the World Wide Web are suggesting that the American automaker, Chevrolet, is going to introduce the next generation Malibu when the New York Auto Show takes place this year. The auto expo in question is scheduled to kick off this April. Yet, prior to the start of the event, the American automaker has actually decided to tease its upcoming Malibu model.
As it turns out, not only has Chevrolet released an official teaser image of the vehicle but it has also spilled out the beans on some preliminary details of the model. Coming in the form of a sedan with a medium size, the car will take advantage of a completely new chassis. This makes the car longer by about four inches when compared with its predecessor. This gives the passengers inside, especially those sitting in the rear compartment, a pretty spacious room. The new chassis is also reported to benefit from a steel material with a high level of strength.
Speaking of the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, Ed Welburn, the Vice President of Global Design at General Motors, points out that the new Malibu model will be borrowing some of the styling cues from the Chevrolet Corvette. However, Welburn claims that onlookers will be blown away when they stare at the visual styling of the vehicle. Just as a kind reminder, Welburn once mentioned that the car would sport a groundbreaking design. Well, judging by the teaser image, there is quite a good chance that the car will look pretty charming indeed, much more charming and attractive than its predecessor.
The American company has also made a statement that it will be releasing new teasers and details every week prior to the final unveiling of the vehicle in early April. As mentioned earlier, the car will take one of the stages at the 2015 New York Auto Show. As for sales, the order book for the vehicle will open as we approach the end of 2015.
