It is an inevitable fact that the current generation Chevrolet Spark has been on the market for much too long. As such, it is only natural for the model to get its replacement and this is just what is coming from the American automaker in charge of the vehicle. Chevrolet has launched an official image teasing a new Spark model. Slated for debut come April 2, 2015, the car is being touted as an all-new Spark model.
Speaking of the 2016 model year Chevrolet Spark that is coming soon, the car has actually been captured on camera and this took place only a while back, around one month earlier. The vehicle was caught on camera without wearing any camouflage at all whatsoever. Back then, the vehicle could be seen featuring a design that is considerably evolutionary when compared to the current generation model. It is also said that the car will be taking advantage of the styling cues featured by the Vauxhall Viva/Opel Karl. However, the offering from Chevy is going to come with rear door handles that are mounted close to the C-pillars, just like what customers can find on today’s model.
So far, Chevy is not letting go of the technical spec sheets of its upcoming Spark model. Nonetheless, there are not few car enthusiasts out there who believe that the car will pack a 1.0L 3-cylinder engine that delivers a total power output of 75 HP. The car will allegedly come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well.
With a wheelbase measuring 2,385 mm, the car is able to hold a thousand liters of cargo within its trunk if the rear seats are folded down. Customers spending their money on this particular vehicle model will also receive a heated steering wheel, onboard infotainment system, park assist, sunroof, front seats with heaters and cruise control.
The 2016 Chevrolet Spark is seemingly scheduled to go on sale later this year, with its official debut set to take place on April 2, 2015, at the New York and Seoul automotive exhibition events.
