China’s civil aviation sector made a significant recovery and reached the pre-COVID-19 level in March, according to an industry report.
In March, the average daily number of flights in the country reached 12,451, around 250 percent that of the same period a year earlier, according to a report provided by VariFlight, a China-based civil-aviation data service provider.
The country has handled about 389,600 departure flights in March, showing an increase of 140.91 percent year on year.
The airports in the country have seen the total number of operations, including takeoffs and landings, increase 69 percent month on month to 820,000 in March, almost the same level before the coronavirus crisis.
In terms of the passenger load factor, it has reached 73.2 percent per day, which is 11.84 percent higher compared to the average level in February, the report noted.
