Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk has introduced a company called Neuralink Corp through which computer systems might integrate with brain of human, the Wall Street Journal reported, mentioning people knowledgeable about the matter.
Neuralink is pursuing what Musk considers the “neural lace” innovation, implanting tiny brain electrodes that might one day upload and download ideas, the Journal reported.
Musk has not made a formal statement, however Neuralink was registered in California as a “medical research” business last July, and he plans on funding the company primarily by himself, a person briefed on the strategies informed the Journal.
It is uncertain exactly what sorts of products Neuralink might produce, however individuals who have had discussions with the company explain a strategy much like space launch company SpaceX and Tesla, the Journal report noted.
