Just 80 units, is all that the special 599 SA Aperta from Ferrari have come in. And all of them have already been taken up by buyers and yet the company has displayed five available color and trim configurations. The car in its open air version had been displayed by Ferrari during last year’s Paris Motor Show event. This particular model – the Sa Aperta in its latest variant the 599 GTB has been made in honor of Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary. That is the reason the number of units that has been produced has been fixed at 80. A reshaped windshield, twin roll hoops which is integrated into the rear buttress and a removable fabric tip are some of the salient features of the car. Rest of the parts conforms to the 599 range of cars.
The engine is also the same 670 hp, 6.7-liter V-12 that is fitted on the 599 GTO as has been the rest of the bodywork picked up from the 599. The open air version comes in five different colors. Nero Stellato, Blu Elettrico, Giallo Tristrato, Rosso Fuoco and Rosso Dino.
Rims would be the chrome shadow styled ones and the windshield would have aluminum trim surround along with mirror caps, and rear buttresses. The brake caliper in each color would be unique depending upon the color of the car itself. As an example the car with a black exterior hue adds a light brown interior with black accents, cashmere-colored stitching, and bright red brake calipers. A full black interior has been given to the red SA Aperta with red trim and white stitching, while the brake calipers are black and the dashboard is off white.
