The neww FF from Ferrari and the Aventador LP700-4 from Lamborghini – the replacement for the Murcielago has been the talk of the 2011 Geneva International Motor Show. The FF is the first ever four wheel motor drive from Ferrari.
The only factors that the two cars have as common are the facts that both have Italian roots and that both have a twelve cylinder power plant in each as also the fact that both have already been sold out for the first year of total production and that too even before they have arrived at the showrooms. The cars however cater for different tastes.
The FF has a 6.3 liter V12 engine delivering 660 hp and is a four seater. The base price of the car is €260,000 or about US$360,000 at today’s exchange rates with 800 units marked for first year of production, which has been sold out as per Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, CEO Ferrari.
The Lamborghini model on the other hand is fitted with a 6.5 liter V12 engine delivering 700 hp and comes at a base price of $370,000 or €267,200.
