Fiat North America has recently announced that its latest model Fiat 500e would have a base price of $ 32,500. The car would be offered with a 36 month lease plan in which the down payment would be made of $999 at the time of signing the agreement and $199 as monthly payments.
There is some good news for the prospective buyers from California where the car will be available at a starting price of $ 20,500. The reason for lower price is the state incentives, federal credits and various rebates available to the car and it also makes it $ 200 cheaper than the comparably-equipped, conventionally-powered 500 Lounge.
The 2014 Fiat 500e is EPA-rated to return 122 MPGe in the city, 108 MPGe in highway and 116 MPGe combined. The car is fitted with an electric motor with a 24 kW lithium-ion battery capable of producing 111 hp (83 kW) and 147 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque. The car has a maximum range of 87 miles (140 km) and can achieve a top speed of 85 mph (137 kmph).
The Fiat 500e is expected to go on sale in the coming summer and they would be available at first through the company’s 25 dealerships in California. This will surely create a lot of excitement among the car lovers and also those who are environment friendly and want a car that gives them performance alongwith preserving the nature!
