Fire breaks out after car collides into Kinnear Road home

Crews are responding after a car collided into a home and gas meter on Kinnear Road, which resulted in a large fire.

Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Steve Martin stated the car lost control and collided into the house and gas meter at the corner of Kinnear Road and Kenny Road, in Columbus, Ohio.

The house filled with gas as the vehicle caught fire and the fire spread to the home.

Martin stated it appears like the back of the home blew off.

Two people who were in the vehicle were able to remove themselves safely. Luckily, there was no one inside the home when the accident took place.
