Four killed after car crash in Marshalltown

Four people were killed after a car crash in Marshalltown, Iowa.

The victims have been identified as Sisters Linette Lopez, 15, and Yanitza Lopez, 17, and Brothers Adrian Lara, 13, and Isacc Lara, 16.

The crash took place just after 11 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South 6th Street and Edgeland Drive. Marshalltown police say a car struck into a utility pole, causing the car to engulf.

What resulted in the crash remains under investigation.

St. Henry church in Marshalltown held a candlelight vigil on Saturday.

The four teenagers were students in the Marshalltown School District.
