Honda Teases the Compact SUV Concept

by SpeedLux

One of the world’s leading automakers from Japan, Honda, has officially announced that it is going to introduce a new model. According to the Japanese company, this new model will be making its way to the Shanghai Auto Show that is slated for kickoff on April 22, 2015. According to Honda, this new model will be coming in the form of an SUV with a compact body design.

To show the public of what it is talking about, the Japanese company in question has taken the liberty of releasing the first ever teaser image of its upcoming compact SUV model. Taking a look at the teaser, it can be seen that the car will prove to be a compact yet sporty crossover. Yet, one thing that is pretty interesting about the vehicle in question is that it is going to be designed and engineered by some designers and engineers from China. Yes, you heard it right. Honda has entrusted the production of its upcoming compact SUV to the Dongfeng Honda Automobile and the Guangqi Honda Automobile, both of which are the subsidiaries of the Chinese division belonging to the Japanese company. Unfortunately, that is as much as Honda is willing to share with the public in respect to the new compact SUV.

Yet, it has also been reported that the Japanese marquee will be officially introducing the aforementioned SUV model in China side-by-side with the Honda CR-V facelift and the Honda City. In addition, the company may even be exhibiting several other models as well. These models include the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 F1 car, the NC750S and GL1800C motorbikes and the US-spec Accord Hybrid as well.
