The former “Top Gear” host Jeremy Clarkson stated that the 16-year-old Swedish climate-change activist Greta Thunberg has killed the car show.
“She’s an idiot,” Clarkson said in an interview with the Sun. “Going round saying we’re all going to die, that’s not going to solve anything my dear.”
Clarkson, who’s promoting season four of his Amazon Prime motor series, “The Grand Tour: Seamen,” says the activist is making young people believe that “cars are evil.”
“Everyone I know under 25 isn’t the slightest bit interested in cars — Greta Thunberg has killed the car show,” he stated. “They’re taught at school, before they say ‘Mummy and Daddy,’ that cars are evil, and it’s in their heads.”
We should note that this is not even the first time Clarkson has criticized Thunberg. In October, he referred her speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit as a “full-on adolescent meltdown” and that she should “shut up and be a good girl.”
“The Grand Tour: Seamen” is set to be streamed on Amazon Prime on December 13.
