It dates back to 2003 when Lamborghini had first unleashed the Gallardo supercar. The model was presumed to become the most manufactured form to date. Now as time slipped and eight years since, Lamborghini is on the verge of the introduction of the Murcielago replacement – the Aventador. It is also believed that plans are chalked out for the sedan to make its presence felt and replace the ever so popular Gallardo. If the rumors are to believe, the name of the replacement sedan is Cabrera and it is also speculated that it may feature a supercharged V10 engine delivering a massive peak power output of 600 HP.
With the high ambition to take on Ferrari’s present 458 Italia, the Lamborghini Cabrera will surely need the brute power of 600 raging bulls charging under the hood of the four wheeler. The Gallardo already has the facility of a package of V10 engine delivering 552 HP. So, elevating that to an impressive 600 HP should not pose much of a problem for Lamborghini. Apart from this killer power output, the Cabrera is to flaunt parts made up of carbon fiber reinforced plastic aka CFRP. These parts will help the sedan lose its weight and render lightness to the coupe. The consideration of a four wheel drive is still on.
Expect the new Lamborghini Cabrera to unveil itself sometime next year, just in time for the 2013 model year.
