Land Rover has plans for a long vehicle lineup and a new report is indicating one of them could be an entry-level model.
Actually planned to counter crossovers like the MINI Countryman, the entry-level model could have a 2.0-liter engine and will be jointly-developed with some biggie.
Speaking about the model, Land Rover’s Global Brand Director told a well known magazine that We always strive to look at opportunities for a smaller, cheaper Land Rover but at the same time it is also clear that we are looking at many opportunities for Land Rover to expand, different price points, in different segments, and so on. Despite pretending to be non-denial, He added We have to work out where the best opportunities are.
There were even speculation which suggested that the model would be built in India for emerging markets, but he refuted some of those claims by hinting that any future model would be made exclusive for global audiences.
