Panoz, a small-volume carmaker in the United State and producer of the Esperante and the AIV Roadster is kicking up things a notch higher. The Georgia-based company wants to catch some eyes as they release some teaser photos of its upcoming Abruzzi “Spirit of Le Mans”.
The sports car is set to be officially unveiled at Le Mans on the Circuit de la Sarthe next month. The car’s style is inspired by the Le Mans racers of past but the technology used for the Abruzzi is leading-edge.
The car makes use of a three-stage cooling setup that keeps the car in optimal temperature. It makes use of a standard radiator sandwiched between two lines of cooling systems. This is what they call a Trifecta system.
The Abruzzi also makes use of REAMS or Recylable Energy Absorbing Matrix for its frame and body which are designed with good resistance to impact.
Panoz insiders hinted that the car is still undergoing production testing. The assembly will eventually be done at their plant in Hochston, Georgia. Like the other Panoz creations, we can expect a very limited run but excellent performance of the Abruzzi.
Judging by what we see on the teaser, things look very promising.
