Mercedes-Benz has begun the process of producing CLA at the company’s Kecskemét plant in Hungary.
Daimler had the reason to celebrate the first roll out of the CLA unit since it was the first model by this plant where the B class is also being produced.
Basically an A-Class sedan, the CLA will borrow the engine lineup and most of the interior cabin. It rides on the firm’s MFA platform and comes with a MacPherson strut front suspension, while the rear has a multilink independent setup.
As customary, it gets a 5.8-inch display, mbrace2 connectivity system, piano black trim and silver accents.
optional equipment offered includes a panorama sunroof, heated front seats, Harman Kardon sound system, dual zone climate control and COMAND infotainment system.
Mercedes is confirmed that the model would be a bespoke one and would attract customers in one go.
Mercedes-Benz will begin delivering the CLA this April in Europe, followed by the U.S. in September.
