Nissan has announced that they will be releasing a brand-new heavy van the NV 400 in Europe. They are looking to lure customers with this new van model, which features quality components at an affordable cost.
Nissan has provided the NV 400 with new grille, front bumper, integrated daytime running headlights and an improved car framework. The van was developed in collaboration with premium automaker Renault and displays bold premium looks.
The NV 400 will be released by Nissan in many different versions so that the customers can choose whichever model that suits their needs. These models will differ in cargo volume space, height, car length and also the wheelbase. Nissan will probably offer the NV 400 as a dropside, box-body, crew van, combi and even a panel van.
Under the hood, the 2.3 liter turbocharged diesel engine can generate a power output of 100,125 and 150 horse power depending on the model. The NV 400 is a highly fuel efficient car and has passed Euro 5 standards for car emission. The car has been efficiently designed to reduce running costs and requires major servicing at an interval of two years. It features a GPS navigation system also.
The Vice president of Nissan’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Business Unit, Sergio Alcaraz has stated that the NV400 has been built to help Nissan gain control of the heavy van segment of the LCV market. The NV400 is supposed to be a replacement for the Interstar model and can be used for a variety of purposes.
