One killed and three injured in car accident in San Antonio

One man was killed in an auto accident that sent 3 other people, including a 2-year-old kid, to San Antonio hospitals.

The accident took place in the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue, San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday.

According to officials, an 80-year-old man was driving out of a side road near Covington and also Rigsby Avenue when he was T-boned by a silver vehicle.

The silver car had four individuals inside it at the time of the accident, cops said. Three of the occupants in the car were admitted to an area hospital, including a 2-year-old that remained in serious condition.

At one factor during the crash, the silver vehicle got on fire, cops said. The 80-year-old male died at the scene.

Rigsby Avenue was closed in both directions and is expected to continue to be shut as police investigate the incident.
