There is a new car or a new model being flashed out in the US every day. The promises of the car industry are ever changing.
There is however one company – South Africa’s Hi-Tech who have made a number of copies of its Perana Z-One. They are going to bring the car over in next month’s 2010 Concorso Italiano in Monterey, to be held in California.
It is a handcrafted grand tourer which has been penned by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato, with there being a design house as well by the same name. The car is powered by a Corvette V-8.
It is to be distributed by Superformance and ninety nice samples are being produced. The reason for just this few in number is because the body has to be hand built by Zagato and then shipped to South Africa in pieces where they are again reassembled.
Expected price tag is $100,000 or lesser. The engines would be either V8 which is a 436 HP LS3 or a V8 of 505 hp LZ7. The corvett Z06 has the 505 horsepower LZ7, installed on it. The transmission is to be a manual six speeds. Option of braking system and interior trims would be given to the customers.
