Person Airlifted Following Car Crashes Into Building In Verona, NJ

An individual who crashed a car into a township building Friday afternoon is being airlifted from the scene of the accident, CBS 2 News reported.

As per the report, the vehicle was fully inside the structure at the corner of Claremont and Pompton avenues at around 2:30 p.m. The motorist was trapped in the automobile, removed, and was being moved from an ambulance to the Hackensack University Medical Center Medevac, the report stated.

Verona Authorities released an alert at 4:20 p.m. Friday stating Pompton Avenue is closed northbound from Blomfield Avenue, and asking drivers in the location to find alternate routes.
