Renault to halt production in France due to coronavirus

French automaker Renault stated on Monday it was stopping production at its industrial sites in France until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Renault said the shutdown would affect 12 sites and 18,000 employees in the country.

Coronavirus has so far infected more than 194,000 people and killed more than 7,800 people worldwide. In France, it has killed 148 and infected over 6,633 people.
