The ongoing New York Motor Show 2013 saw many cars, original, concept version and tuned ones, being launched or showcased. But the surprise package and the biggest tuning story was that of Shelby 1000 S/C.
The Shelby 1000 S/C is based on the Ford Shelby GT500 which already is so powerful with 1,200 hp output capacity. The tuned car comes with a 5.8 liter V8 engine with output capacity of 662 hp.
The changes by the tuner include Shelby/Kenne Bell 3.6L Supercharger with 4.5 inch inlet pipe and 127 mm MAF, Borla Custom 3 inch Stainless Catback Exhaust and Shelby/Eibach R2 adjustable suspension, among others.
As informed by the tuner, 100 units of Shelby 1000 S/C will be produced.
This is as extreme as it could get and mind you Shelby 1000 S/C is not to be confused with Ford’s Shelby moniker or with the Shelby SuperCars brand.
