People have been talking about the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon event for some time now. Yes, this particular automotive expo is approaching really soon. It will start in January 2015. Yet, it seems that some automakers just can’t wait long enough before spilling the beans on the vehicles they are going to display at the expo. So is the case with the Japanese automaker, Suzuki. Prior to the aforementioned event, the company has now officially previewed its Alto RS Turbo.
As can very well be seen from its name, this vehicle will be a turbocharged variant of the regular Suzuki Alto RS. It is said that the car will pack a 660cc engine under the hood. However, the Japanese company is still keeping it a secret as to the peak power output that the car is capable of offering. It is a known fact, however, that the car will have its machine built on a platform that is entirely new. As a result, the Japanese automaker has been able to cut down the weight of the vehicle by 60 kg, compared to its predecessor. Also known as the Kei car, Suzuki will be offering the vehicle in with an automatic CVT transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Of course, since it is a modified version of the regular Suzuki Alto RS, the car should also have some differences in terms of look. In this case, the Suzuki Alto RS Turbo comes with 17-inch red alloy wheels, red mirror caps and also red accents on its bumpers. Well, it seems there are going to be lots of red on the car.
The Suzuki Alto RS Turbo is expected to make its very first official appearance in the oncoming March 2015 and it will be exclusive to the Japanese market.
