A Port Charlotte man is looking for the driver who destroyed his car and then fled in Charlotte County, Florida.
Neighbors say a blue mustang with teenage drivers caused the damage.
Neighbors said the car tore around a curve and allegedly lost control destroying this car and trailer. Neighbors also said the driver made it across the street, struck the mailbox, went into the ditch then accelerated around the corner.
Now Tony Innello, the owner of the damaged car, will have to deal with the damage to his belongings until the suspects are arrested.
“My trailer was totaled and that was worth $2,500. Some of the lawn equipment that got ruined was probably around $300 or so, and the car is totaled,” Innello said.
“You have to get a little responsibility especially as you become older. Just tell the people what happened and things will move on a lot smoother than police and law enforcement looking for you and getting into trouble. It’s not worth it,” Innello said.
