Tesla hires Audi executive for automobile production

Tesla has employed Audi executive Peter Hochholdinger as its current Vice President of Vehicle Production, following the departure of 2 senior production supervisors previously this month, the company stated in a statement emailed to The Brink this night.

Hochholdinger will be in charge of manufacturing of the present Model S and Model X, in addition to scaling up the manufacturing program for the newly announced Model 3. “Tesla is excited to have Peter join the team,” reads the statement, which did not mention a start date.
