The Forza Motorsport 3 racing game to feature the C8 Laviolette LM85 from Spyker

by Alex

Its just a month left for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race to get underway. However, in the meantime, Spyker has joined hands with Xbox with the intention of contributing to the racing game, the Forza Motorsport 3 that has been extremely popular.

Spyker’s contribution to the game will be the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 which will act as a gift car from Forza’s Exotic Car Pack. The Forza’s Exotic Car Pack is there for the taking at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace in exchange for 400 Microsoft Points.

As for the car, C8 Laviolette LM85 from Spyker is an extremely rare species of super car as there are only 24 units of the car plying around in the real world. Among the things that make the car so very unique include its extremely aerodynamic body shell, stiff spaceframe chassis made of aluminum that makes it lightweight, fully independent double wishbone suspension as well as its burnt almond orange shade that is in stark contrast to the Gun Metal ‘S’ logo.

Powering the C8 Laviolette LM85 is a 4.2-litres V8 engine sourced from Audi that has a power output of 400hp at 6,800 rpm and a torque figure of 480Nm that is available from 3,500 rpm onwards. The car is surprising;y agile and cam do the 0 to 100 kmph dash in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 300 kmph.

In the meantime, have you ever wondered what the LM85 in the C8 Laviolette’s name stands for? Well, the initials point to the starting number of Spyker Squadron’s GT2 race cars at Le Mans ever since it has been at the prestigious race event back starting from 2002.
