Three people died after extinguishing fires that consumed two cars following a crash in Tainan City, Taiwan on June 3.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene of the car crash at the intersection of Tiajiang Boulevard and Haidian Road at 4:10 am to discover two cars engulfed by flames.
One of the involved vehicle was a McLaren 570S sports car, and the other a Mazda SUV. The driver of the McLaren is said to be a 29-year-old man named Hou, and in the Mazda was a 65-year-old man and his 49-year-old wife, both surnamed Chen.
Police said that traffic monitor cameras were too far away from the crash site that they couldn’t record the accident that clearly. They added that seriously burned remnants of the vehicles also make the investigation into the cause of the accident difficult.
Speed may have contributed in the accident.
