A single-car crash on early Monday morning caused three deaths in Anaheim, California.
Due to the severity of the crash, it was initially difficult for police to analyze how many people were inside the car.
The crash took place when the driver of the car was speeding around 2 a.m. after which he lost control of the car, and went airborne through the intersection.
The Mercedes then struck a brick wall and was split in half, police said. The car engulfed after that.
Speed was a factor in the crash, according to officials.
The three occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The intersection was closed while police investigated the crash.
