Three killed after car gets hits after being stuck on train tracks near Forsyth

Two people were killed after a car got hit after it was stuck on the train tracks near Forsyth, Georgia on Wednesday night.

The crash took place after a Ford Flex got stuck on the tracks at a private crossing near Goodwyne Road at about 6:20 p.m.

A man in another car attempted to rescue the two women, but all of them were hit by a Norfolk Southern Train.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

They identified the victims as Shirley Treadwell, 93, Debra Ruth Hall, 66 and Chris Burkett, 47.
