Total Race Unveils Their Upgraded Volkswagen Touareg W12 Twin-Turbo [Video]

When we’re talking about the Volkswagen Touareg and its upgrades received from different tuning companies, only the sky it’s the limit. This time, another tuning company wanted to put their touch on this car. Total Race has managed to pull out 444 HP from the massive W12 twin-turbo engine, which is actually American tuning.

Not always, but often, the American cars are big and slow with large engines and a few ponies, compared to its European or Asian “sisters”. Well this is exactly the example that we were talking about now, a large engine with just over 400 horsepower.

Anyway, this Volkswagen Touareg made by Total is powered by a W12 twin-turbo unit, delivering 444 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. But even if 444 HP taken out of a twin-turbo W12 and placed on a heavy SUV doesn’t seem like much, the best is yet to come, because this Touareg can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds, being electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Compared with a Ferrari, 5,9 seconds seems a lifetime, but keep in mind that is a SUV.

Finally, you can watch the video below to be convinced of the power of this machine. Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments section below.
