Two boys died after being hit by a car in Colorado

Two boys, aged 15 and 9, have died and another one was injured after all three were hit by a vehicle in Fountain late Saturday night near the area of Colorado 16 and Fountain Mesa Road in Colorado.

A 15-year-old died by the time was found dead by officers after arriving at the scene. A second 9-year-old male was admitted to a local emergency room but died because of his severe injuries. The third boy, 15, had small injuries.

The boys were crossing a crosswalk while the light was green at the time when the vehicle hit the boys. The driver remained on the scene and did not seem to commit any traffic violations.

Lisa Schneider, public safety information officer for Fountain Police, said she could not offer any information on the health condition of the third boy or if the driver was under the influence.
