Two dead after car crash in Athens

Two people in their 20s died after their car overturned on a central Athens thoroughfare on Friday.

The victims include a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash took place at dawn on Katehaki Avenue when the vehicle was heading from Ilioupoli to Athens, suddenly went off course and overturned.

After that, the two passengers in the vehicle died.

About ten firefighters attended the scene to deal with the fire.
