Two dead after car crash in Ohio 63, Monroe

A fatal crash on Friday afternoon led officials to close a portion of westbound Ohio 63 in Monroe, Ohio.

The crash was reported at 3:07 p.m. on Ohio 63 and Main Street, also known as Cincinnati-Dayton Road, in Monroe.

According to Monroe Police Department, the crash between a tractor-trailer and silver sedan took place at the intersection. The passenger of the silver sedan was pronounced dead when crews arrived on the scene. The driver of the silver sedan was taken to Care Flight to Miami Valley Hospital where the person later died.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed, police said.
