Two dead after car crash in Prince George’s County

Two people are dead following a car crash on Saturday morning in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The crash took place at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 12200 block of Annapolis Road close to Fairwood Parkway.

Police said a car, with two passengers inside, lost control, left the roadway, and struck a pole. After the impact, the car was engulfed.

About two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not identified the victims.

The incident is under investigation by Prince George’s County Police.

It is yet to be known what caused the crash.
