Two killed after single-car crash in Long Island

Two people were killed and one person was injured after a single-car crash in Nassau County on Sunday morning.

The crash occurred on Marcus Avenue near Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park.

The crash took place when a 41-year-old man was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla. His car then crashed and overturned against a pole at 6:50 a.m.

Two female passengers, ages 39 and 71, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

Identities of the victims were not released as of yet.
