Two killed after four-car crash in Newington

Two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Newington, Connecticut.

Police confirmed the crash took place shortly after 9:30 on East Cedar Street, Rt 175.

Officials say it was a four-car crash.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

One was transported to the hospital. 

The road was shut for several hours from the entrance to the Berlin Turnpike to Hawley Street. 

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The crash is being investigated by Newington Police.
