Two killed after head-on car crash on I-87 in Wendell
Two women were killed in an early-morning car crash on I-87 in Wendell, North Carolina on Friday.
The crash resulted in shutting down of the traffic on I-87 south close to the Wendell Falls Parkway exit for several hours as officials worked to clear the scene.
The crash took place when one car was going the wrong way while the two crashed head-on.
The lanes were later reopened.
North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
