Two killed after three-vehicle crash on Highway 2 near Williston

Two people were killed following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 2 near Williston in North Dakota on Saturday night.

The crash took place when a 52-year-old driver hit another car head-on and a third car was hit by debris.

The 52-year-old has been identified as Mark Bearce of Williston. He has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.

Stephanie Lee, a 44-year-old from Williston, and a 7-year-old child passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger in the same vehicle was admitted to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 2 was closed for some hours on Saturday night following the crash.

North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
