Two killed after three-vehicle crash on I-75 in Florida

Two people were killed after a three-vehicle crash on Luckett Road at Golden Lake Road, west of Interstate 75 in Florida.

The crash that took place just before 8 p.m. involved a commercial truck and two other vehicles when the driver of the sedan heading west on Luckett lost control of the vehicle, swerved onto the eastbound travel lane and crashed with a tractor-trailer rig headed east on Luckett.

The car then ran off the road and struck a utility pole.

A part of the sedan split off and struck a third vehicle.

Two people, the driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was admitted to Gulf Coast Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.
