Two killed after two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County

Two people were killed after a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa County.

Both victims have been identified as an 87-year-old named Frank Stanley Wharton and an 84-year-old named Mildred Wharton.

Both were killed when their car was hit by a tractor-trailer.

The crash took place around 4:27 p.m. on Alabama 171 near the eight-mile marker.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating the incident. It is yet to be known that what caused the crash.
