Two people were killed after a car crash south of Bakersfield in California on early Friday morning.
A semi-truck and black sedan struck in the area of Herring and Old River Road just after 4 a.m.
The crash took place when a black sedan was traveling westbound on Herring Road and the semi-truck was traveling southbound on Old River Road. The sedan then came through the stop sign in the direct path of the semi-truck and was hit.
The sedan was carrying three occupants when it overturned.
Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
The third occupant was admitted to a local hospital.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation by California Highway Patrol.
