Two teenagers were killed and three others were injured on Monday when they struck their vehicle through a guardrail in San Diego, California.
The crash took place just before 11 p.m. when they were traveling 13000 N. Torrey Pines Road with their 2020 Subaru WRX at a high rate of speed.
The 19-year-old driver lost control of the sports car and struck the center median before striking through the guardrail before it stopped on the sand of Torrey Pines State Beach.
All passengers between 18 and 19 years old were in the car.
Two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The vehicle’s driver had minor injuries.
The identities of the victims haven’t been released yet.
San Diego police traffic division is investigating the crash.
