The crash took place around 7 a.m. on Monday morning, when a car coming out of Twin Lakes Circle made a left in front of another other heading east on Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida.
The one struck into the other and both ended up in the westbound lanes of traffic.
One car was engulfed in flames. Those driving cars stalled in traffic could see the large plumes of smoke long before the car crash.
The drivers of both SUVs were killed.
Both of the lanes of traffic were blocked on Apalachee Parkway between Conner Boulevard and Twin Lakes Circle.
The roadway was cleared after some hours.
Florida Highway Patrol and Tallahassee Police Department are investigating the crash.
